Malcolm X Pechakucha (video essay) was created in Dr. Terri Francis’s course on Spike Lee’s Filmworks at IU. After publishing my essay, it garnered attention by The Video Essay Podcast, and was added to the Videographic Criticism and Scholarship category in the Black Lives Matter Video Essay Playlist curated by Will Digravio, Kevin B. Lee, and Cydnii Wilde Harris in 2020.

The Pechakucha went on to be featured in the Camden International Film Festival in Maine and the Dresden International Film Festival in Germany.
